Frequently Asked Questions
Who photographs this stuff?
Me! I'm the one and only photographer here at Jillian Audrey Photography.
What is open edition and limited edition?
Currently, many of my photographs are open edition, which means that there is no predetermined number that can be created. When I began photographing, all of my work was open edition. As of June 2016, I have transitioned to limited edition so all work going forward will be limited to a predetermined edition number. Currently, I am working in editions of 400 across all sizes, each limited edition photograph will be signed and numbered on the back (and on the front of the mat board if the photograph is matted). Limited edition art is more collectible than open edition, once it sells out, it sells out!
How do you print your photographs?
All photographs are printed on luster photographic paper (it has a soft pearly finish that is a cross between a traditional glossy print and a matted print) with archival inks so your photograph is one you can surely cherish for a lifetime! All prints are printed borderless (to the edge of the paper).
Can I order a photograph matted?
5x7 and 8x10 photographs can be matted in white acid-free mat board.
Are your sizes in inches?
Yes.
Do you offer framing?
Sorry, no. But all photographs fit a standard-sized frame which you can find at your local craft or home décor store. You can also have your piece custom framed by a frame shop.
Will the photograph I order look like what I see online?
Crop aspect ratios vary – the crop perspective I give for the sample image is an 8x10, for example if you order a 5x7 or a 12x18, the photograph will be wider than what you see in the preview. (It may have additional image on the sides, or you may lose some of the image due to crop.) If you are concerned or have a question please send me an email to JillianAudreyPhoto@gmail.com before placing your order. Please be aware that monitor colors vary, my screen is calibrated to my printer and what I see is what is printed, what you see on your monitor or device may be slightly different.
Is this photograph vertical or horizontal?
The easiest way is to look. A horizontal (landscape) photograph will be longer than it is taller. A vertical (portrait) photograph will be taller than it is wide.
Do you sell anywhere in person?
Yes! You can find me in-person at many local markets throughout the Boston and New England area.
I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere else before….
You may have! When I’m not photographing I’m stitching – I run a fiber arts line called Islay’s Terrace. (You can learn more about my fiber arts HERE.) I do shows and festivals around the New England area with my fiber arts and embroidery and sell online so it's likely you may have seen me or my work minus the photography!
How will my photograph ship?
All prints are safely shipped in pastic sleeves with backing board in sturdy mailers to protect against bending. I ship smaller photographs via USPS First Class, larger photographs will ship via USPS Priority or FedEx.
How long will it take to receive my order?
I ship all photographs up to 12x18 size from my studio within 5 business days and from there the USPS typically takes another 3-5 days. All orders larger than 12x18 ship directly from the photographic print lab that I work with and typically ship within 3 business days of order and will ship via USPS Priority or FedEx.
How will I know when my order ships?
You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your purchase is on its way.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
I work hard to make sure description information for each photograph is clear and precise so you know exactly what you will be receiving. Each photograph you receive is a custom order that was printed just for you, so I do not typically accept returns or exchanges. However, if you are truly unsatisfied, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your item, and exchanges or returns will be offered on a case by case basis.
Eep, my photograph got damaged in the mail. What do I do?
Please contact me right away! I’ll be happy to help offer a replacement once I know the extent of the damage. Please take photographs of the damage and send me an email to JillianAudreyPhoto@gmail.com
Can you ship internationally?
I'm currently only shipping orders in the US. But please sign up for my e-newsletter as I will be adding international shipping soon!
Do you offer digital downloads of your photographs so I can print it myself?
Sorry, no. However, if you are interested in licensing an image for commercial use please email me at JillianAudreyPhoto@gmail.com
Where are you located?
